Used paraglider inspection for buyers and sellers

A second-hand wing can look perfect and still be porous, out of trim or carrying weak lines. Our Full Service gives you an independent, detailed inspection report, so a buyer knows what they’re getting and a seller can price with confidence.

What the report covers

Porosity, Bettsometer fabric strength, line strength (if required), line damage, and trim and symmetry against the manufacturer’s figures, shown as a trim state before and after with any loop changes made. Plus a full inspection of the canopy, internals, risers and maillons.

Selling a wing?

An up-to-date service report is the quickest way to sell a used wing at a fair price, because buyers trust a third-party report more than a photo. Once your wing has been serviced with us, we can also list it on the Sky Riders used equipment page.

Buying a wing?

  • Ask for the year of manufacture, hours and service history
  • Check the EN class suits your level, and the weight range suits you
  • Look for UV fading, repairs, and stiff or fluffy lines
  • Agree with the seller to have it inspected before money changes hands, or buy one that has just had a full service

Common questions

Can the seller send the wing straight to you?

Yes. We can post the wing on to the buyer or back to the seller, and send the report to both with the seller’s agreement.

What if the wing fails?

We tell you what failed and what it would cost to fix, so you can decide.

Does this cover the reserve?

Reserves are repacked and checked separately, from £70.

Can you sell my wing for me?

Once it’s been serviced with us, we can list it on the Sky Riders used equipment page.
