What we need from you

  • Glider make, model and size (and year if you know it)
  • The line reference from the line chart, e.g. A2, B3 or BR3
  • The line colour
  • Whether you want them posted, or fitted to your wing

The booking form has a line section where you add each reference and colour.

Made to the manufacturer’s spec

Every replacement line is made to the manufacturer’s specification for material, diameter and length, whichever brand your wing is from. That way a new line matches the one it replaces and keeps your wing in trim.

Should I fit them myself?

Most pilots fit single replacement lines themselves using the line chart. Check the line is on the correct maillon and side, that it isn’t twisted or routed through the wrong cascade, and that it’s finished as the original. If you’re not sure, send the glider and we’ll fit the line and check symmetry.

When to replace a line

  • Visible damage to the sheath, or the core showing
  • A kink, knot or burn from a line-over or tree landing
  • The manufacturer requires a new line set after a set number of hours

Common questions

What are replacement lines made from?

The material and diameter on your manufacturer’s specification, for every brand.

How quickly can you send lines?

Usually within a day or two.

Do new lines change my trim?

A line made to spec matches the specified length. If several lines are replaced, a trim measurement afterwards is a good idea.

Can you replace a whole line set?

Yes, ask for a quote.
