Parakites spend their lives in strong coastal wind, sand and salt air, and they’re ground-handled hard. We service and trim parakites to the manufacturer’s figures, so yours keeps the speed range and stability it was designed with.

Why parakites need their own care
- Sand: sand gets into the cells and wears the cloth and line sheaths from the inside
- Salt air and sun: coastal flying ages the cloth and lines faster
- Trim is critical: a parakite’s speed range and stability depend on accurate line lengths and left-right symmetry. Shrunken lines change how it behaves at both ends of the speed range
- Hard ground handling: lots of launches and kiting put extra wear on leading edges and line attachment points
What’s checked
We empty the sand out of the cells first, then run the same checks as a paraglider service: porosity, Bettsometer fabric test, line strength (if required, with the tested line replaced by a new one made to spec), a line damage check, and trim and symmetry measurement against the manufacturer’s figures. Your report shows the trim state before and after, plus any loop changes made. The Full Service adds a full inspection and detailed report.

How often should a parakite be serviced?
Follow the manufacturer’s interval. Get it checked sooner if it starts to behave differently, or after a tree, sea or hard landing.
